Ancient human transitions in the Iberian Peninsula (aTIP)
Research project aiming to obtain a deeper understanding of the social processes underlying a pivotal prehistoric transitional period in the Iberian Peninsula: the Copper Age-Bronze Age transition. We use a novel approach where ancient human DNA is used to investigate relationships at both intra- and inter-site scales and is interpreted in combination with other types of bioarchaeological evidence such as aDNA from ancient pathogens, isotopes and radiocarbon dating.
